Escondido Pop Warner Cheer

Escondido Pop Warner Cheer is a fun and exciting way for kids ages 3 to 13 to learn new skills, build confidence, and make lifelong friends. We offer cheer programs for all experience levels from beginners to advanced athletes with divisions based on age. Divisions are organized by age on July 31.

Our cheerleaders learn game day chants, stunts, and routines while performing at football games and participating in local and regional competitions. Some teams also have the chance to compete in JAMZ events and continue cheering year-round.

Registration includes a full uniform, poms, bow, backpack, and a one-day JAMZ cheer camp led by pros. Each team offers something special, scroll down to find the right fit for your child!

Jr. Tiny Mite

Ages 3–4 | $200

This program is perfect for our youngest future cheerleaders! It's a fun and exciting introduction to the world of cheerleading, focused on building basic skills for game day cheer. Throughout the season, participants will gain confidence, learn teamwork, and enjoy a taste of performing.

The season runs July 15 – Mid October, ending with a special showcase to highlight everything they've learned.

Registration includes:

  • Cheer uniform (skirt and top)

  • Pom poms

  • Hair bow

Tiny Mite

Flag Cheer (Ages 5–7) – $415

Flag Cheer is the perfect introduction to the exciting world of competitive cheerleading for our youngest athletes!

For the first time ever, these cheerleaders will not only perform sideline cheer at football games but also participate in Pop Warner-hosted competitions.

At this level, participants will:

  • Learn and perform a basic show cheer routine

  • Gain confidence and experience performing on stage

  • Build foundational cheer skills in a fun, supportive environment

Season Duration: July 15 – Mid-November

Jr. Peewee

Junior Peewee Cheer (Ages 8–11) – $675

Junior Peewee Cheer is the perfect starting point for athletes ready to take on more advanced cheerleading skills. At this level, we focus on proper technique and introduce athletes to both sideline cheer and the competitive cheer world.

Cheerleaders will learn:

  • More in-depth stunting techniques

  • Longer and more complex show cheer routines

  • The excitement of multiple competitions, including non-affiliated events and Jamz competitions

Season Duration: July 15 – End of January

Jr. Varsity

JV Cheer (Ages 11–13) – $675

JV Cheer is designed for our oldest and most advanced athletes. This division focuses on building structure, leadership, and preparing cheerleaders for the transition to high school cheer.

Athletes will:

  • Perfect advanced cheer skills

  • Develop strong leadership qualities

  • Train in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment that challenges and rewards

Season Duration: July 15 – End of January

Year-Round Training Opportunities Available

This level demands dedication and energy — and offers an amazing, rewarding experience that prepares athletes for their next cheer chapter.

Peewee

Peewee Cheer (Ages 10–12) – $675

Peewee Cheer is where athletes take their skills to the next level. At this stage, our experienced coaches focus on developing high-energy, advanced cheer routines that bring excitement to both the sidelines and the competition floor.

In this division, athletes will:

  • Master more complex stunting and performance skills

  • Enhance their sideline cheer with added stunt elements

  • Prepare for dynamic competition routines with a focus on technique and showmanship

Season Duration: July 15 – End of January
Optional Year-Round Training Opportunities Available

This is the level where dedication meets performance — and cheerleaders truly shine.

Registration Fees (Tiny Mite – JV) Include:

  • Complete Uniform Package:
    Skirt, top, cropped long sleeves, briefs, pom poms, bow, and backpack
    (Please note: shoes are not included. Athletes must provide their own all-white cheer shoes.)

  • JAMZ Cheer Camp:
    A one-day cheer camp led by professional cheerleaders to boost skills and confidence

  • Team Registration Fees:
    Covers entry for all Pop Warner competitions throughout the season
